Ark of the Covenant

Three items found in or near the chamber of the Ark of the Covenant, all recovered by Ron Wyatt, are shown. These include the stalactite piece at the narrow entrance to the top of the chamber found by Ron in January 1982; a small ivory pomegranate with Hebrew lettering, ‘Holy to the Priests, belonging to the House of Yahweh’ which was probably the head of a miter; and one of the several oil lamps used most likely by those who brought the Ark to the chamber. The above pomegranate is the only item in the Israeli Museum in Jerusalem from the First Temple; somehow Ron’s gift to Israeli Antiquities had passed several hands before it was finally ‘sold’ to the museum for an enormous price. The donor is listed as anonymous. See pictures in the article.
