Chapters eight through fourteen are considered in this chapter and reflect the next 6:1 framing section. Chapters 8 and 9 reveal the first six trumpets sounding, with the 7th not mentioned until chapter 11:15. This is a similar intentional literary technique that we see used by John concerning the seals. When dealing with the structure of the book of Revelation it is important to have an understanding of the Jewish mindset, especially concerning prophecy.
