Chapter 10 – More 6:1 Ratios
At the end of the Last chapter we introduced several 6:1 ratio’s, as this is the numerical ratio denoting the plan of salvation, it is a major theme throughout Scripture. We want to devote more time and present more details concerning this as it is the main premise concerning the blueprint of time. The fact that God establishes this ratio of time from the very beginning with the weekly cycle is very relevant.
Most all of our aspects of time are tied to natural phenomena; our “days” to the rotation of the planet on its axis, our “months” to the phases of the moon, our “yearly cycle” to our planets traverse around the sun. The weekly cycle however, belongs to God alone, established according to His very own design and for a very specific purpose, He is the divine heavenly Architect and the ratio defines His blueprint format, authority and ownership.
Notice though, He did not set these time periods up as an exclusive 7-day/month/year interval of time, but established each using a 6:1 ratio. This ratio would be used as a reminder that He alone was the creator of all things; for in six days He created all that is, then rested, not due to fatigue or weariness, but to admire His beautiful creation and provide us with an amazing clue. We as well are to follow in His example, utilizing six days for our work, but the 7th is a specific day set aside or “sanctified” for Holy use (Gen. 2:1-3), a special day for praise, fellowship, worship, and developing a stronger relationship with God, a day set aside for His service. A day to remember His wonderful works, not only of creation, but recreation of hearts and the transforming of minds devoted to His service. Not only would this ratio be significant at the creation but especially at the end when probationary time would be winding down.
When we typically think of Eschatology or end-time events, the books of Daniel and Revelation come to mind. It just so happens that there are many examples of this 6:1 ratio found in both. We’ll list several examples, but the list is not exhaustive. Daniel 9:24-25 brings our first example to light;
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times”. “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate”, (Dan. 9:24-25, 27).
These verses are predicting the anointing, and sacrifice of the Messiah as scheduled, plus the end of the Jewish dispensation. Also, they list six things Messiah would accomplish; to finish the transgression – to make an end of sins – to make reconciliation for iniquity – to bring in everlasting
righteousness – to seal up vision and prophecy – to anoint the Most Holy.
After His resurrection, He explained to the disciples in all the prophets “the things concerning Himself”, (Luke 24:27), prophecy had predicted 500 years before the event what Christ would accomplish when He came, six components achieved by Him alone in the accomplishing redeemption – a 6:1 ratio. The last book of the Bible would as well reveal characteristics of Christ’s mission from another perspective, portrayed in the 7 seals. (Rev. Chapters 5-6)
Another demonstration of the 6:1 ratio is listed with the Kings orchestra in Daniel chapter three, and is used to command worship; (Dan. 3:5) “at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer…, ye fall down and worship the golden image”. This 6:1 ratio will most defiantly play a role with end-time events and the forced worship of earth’s inhabitants against the principles of God’s law. (Rev. 13) A similar death decree is pronounced on those who will not comply. Could the 7 headed beast brought to light in chapter 13 also fall under a 6:1 ratio category? If you are up-to-speed on the obvious move of the globalists pushing for a world system, then you should be able to perceive the possibility of a 6:1 ratio format with the beast power of Rev. 13.
Allow me to offer this suggestion. The one-world system is all about total world control over humanity, this is a necessary aspect of the devils final push to save himself from his predicted destruction mentioned in Eze. 28:18.
Six of those heads would be under a global government-the political head. They would include: a religious head – a military head – a financial head – an energy head – a healthcare head – and lastly an agricultural head. All of these categories listed is what it would take to maintain some semblance of world government and total control over the remaining population (NOTE – one stated goal of the globalist is to maintain world population at 500 million, which means 7 billion people must go – just thought you should know). More about this later.
The book of Revelation is that which unseals the book of Daniel, this too introduces several 6:1 ratio’s; in fact the Book itself is framed out nearly as three 6:1 ratio’s which is amazing since the chapters and verse divisions were supposedly not inspired? I just wonder if there was not more at play then what we first thought, at least with this last book of Scripture.
When introducing the subject of the sealing of God’s people, we arrive at the end of the first 6:1 ratio (chapters 1-6), with Revelation chapter 7 finishing the ratio. Also, when considering the topic, we naturally place the focus on the close of probation and the 2nd coming of Christ, for the sealing of the remnant takes place just before.
A prerequisite for the sealing time and preparation for translation is a more detailed picture of Christ and His mission. A correct understanding of the first six chapters of Revelation provides such a foundation of understanding. Just a reminder concerning the first five words, the book itself opens thus “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”, these five words tell the story, and they set the tone and agenda for the beginning six chapters. The word revelation is the Greek word “Apocalypse” which means to uncover, make known, expose or reveal. Jesus Christ is from the words Lesous (Yaw-sous) and Christos meaning, Jehovah the anointed for salvation. Christ was the anointed to accomplish the atonement, a word that means to cover, satisfy, overspread or atone. The first five words of Revelation could be stated as; “the uncovering of the covering”- a revealing of the full atonement. The first six chapters provide a more vivid picture of Christ’s mission and His sacrifice then has been heretofore presented. Chapter seven of Revelation introduces those who develop this greater understanding of Christ and His mission to atone.
There are also three 6:1 ratio’s in the first six chapters, all of these deal with the character and mission of Christ the Messiah. The first is a description of Christ in chapter one after John’s introduction; six physical features are highlighted with His countenance shining in the strength of the sun, (verses 13-16). These descriptions portray Christ not as a lowly babe or even His personage after the resurrection in His glorified body, (Phil. 3:21), but as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, like the description found in Revelation (19:11-17).
Let’s list the details so you can easily see this ratio – #1 – Head or Hair white as wool
#2 – eyes as a flame of fire
#3 – feet like brass
#4 – voice as mighty water
#5 – right hand holding 7 stars
#6 – from His mouth a two-edged sword
all six a description of His shinning countenance, another 6:1 ratio.
The 7 churches introduced in the opening three chapters are an example of a 6:1 ratio also. The messages of the first 6 churches are all combined in the 7th church, “Laodicea”. We will explore the detail of these in the next chapter.
Chapters 4-6 of Revelation reveal the 7 seals; a descriptive commentary on the mission of Christ, highlighting His human nature activities as the Messiah; the 1st 6 seals provide the necessary aspects of Christ ministry to accomplish Salvation, those being: His anointing for priestly ministry at 30 yrs. of age (at His baptism), His 3 plus years of earthly ministry, His Gethsemane experience, yielding His life at Calvary, His mediatorial intercession in the heavenly Sanctuary, and His coming in the clouds of heaven (2nd coming), plus the final 7th seal in Rev. 8:1 (a commanded silence), to proclaim a blessing of coronation on the Son, who must of necessity retain His glorified human nature for eternity. This likely takes place during or just after the Millennium. Six of these seals specifically apply to Christ the Son of Man (highlighted under His human nature), with the last an application more specifically designed to re-establish Him as the Son of God. The incarnation has effectively facilitated both human and divine natures and represents a 6:1 ratio. Although Christ will retain His glorified human nature for eternity, He must also be recognized for who He really is; the Son of God.
Over and over again we see the 6:1 ratio coming into play; God has been trying to reveal something to us all along the way. What seems obvious after so many examples of the 6:1 ratio is a display of six thousand years of human probation, then the 1,000 Shemitah years also known as the millennium (Rev. 20). This understanding provides a clock, which establishes the nearness of the end of probationary time.
Even after the trauma of sin is past, we find around God’s throne in heaven, six distinct groups of beings; let’s start with the largest group and work in towards the throne. First – is the myriad of angels that have ministered in behalf of humanity and are the remaining faithful angelic servants of the Most High. Second – are the great multitude that has been redeemed from the Earth’s vast history of 6,000 years. Next, (number 3) – are a small group of righteous individuals, those who lived through earth’s darkest hour and never tasted death, identified as the 144,000 of Rev. 7 &14.
Fourth – is another select group, those who were at first, significant instruments in Satan’s hand to persecute and deceive, “Nearest the throne are those who were once zealous in the cause of Satan, but who, plucked as brands from the burning, have followed their Saviour with deep, intense devotion… (The Great Controversy p 665)
After these four groups are the 24 elders (number 5), then the 4 living creatures (number 6), 6 distinct groups that gather around the throne. Finally, the seat of God’s throne where the Father and the Son reside, this illustrates another 6:1 ratio in the heavenly. As we gather around God’s throne weekly and monthly, this will be a constant reminder of the 6:1 ratio that represented the plan of Salvation. “and it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and that from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the Lord,” (Is 66:23).
With this constant reminder from God’s word and greater insight to His measured time of dealing with the problem of sin, where does this leave us?
