Chapter 2 – THE BLUEPRINT
A blueprint is a detailed program of action, illustrated on paper; a specific hypothesis typically of a desired structure or project. It is a two-dimensional display of an intended three-dimensional reality. A blueprint is also a clock of sorts; drawings, symbols, and figures that can be measured in time.
Based on our definition we could conclude that God’s word as well, is just that – a detailed plan of action, initiated by God Himself, the planning sessions occurred in heaven before the world was ever created. Aspects of this plan would eventually be recorded on paper by men through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, illustrating the general and detailed aspects of God’s rescue plan. This plan would run a pre-determined course with scheduled events (Mo-ed’s), encompassing in totality a specified amount of time.
The Biblical blueprint is a summary of Eden lost (the Garden of Eden) to Eden restored (the New Jerusalem). It is a script of God’s personal intervention into the affairs of fallen humanity, His eternal sacrifice and His rescue plan to save an undeserving world.
Just like a set of contractor drawings (blueprints), the Scriptures portray general aspects of what is called: The Plan of Redemption, as well as details on how to personally become a born-again believer in the Messiah, and an ambassador for His kingdom. Both considerations are vital to each person so as to maintain a balanced perspective and the desired result.
Of interest to every Christian or even those studying the scriptural blueprint (the Old and New Testaments), misconceptions and inappropriate thinking could develop if one gets too focused on specific details of the plan. This is called fanaticism or at the very least tunnel vision. Just imagine a contractor attempting to build a house from just one page of the detailed blueprint. It must ALL be taken into consideration, accepted as a whole, with the specifications followed to accomplish true success!
The danger in not utilizing the whole of the blueprint means you will miss critical details of the plan, but also miss the scheduled times for completion of certain aspects of the job. You won’t know how or where to interpret the various components of the overall project, this is an obvious problem a contractor would face. This would lead to major confusion and delays, plus compromise the completion of the overall job. Unfortunately, this seems like a perfect description of what is offered from many within Christianity today.
Most Christians who study the Scriptures rely on traditional aspects of human devising such as chapter and verse, punctuation, and the formatting of the book we call the bible; most see God’s word as an Old / New Testament compilation. Then there are all the traditions that have developed over time. We need to exercise caution when deciding to follow a commentary from even well meaning individuals. 1st John 4:1 suggests we test every idea presented.
When considering the context of Scripture as a whole, I would like to suggest what I believe to be a better consideration. There are three specific dispensations (segments) of time that are easily definable, lets take a look: the first I would call, “the Adamic”, which covers mostly our pre-flood world. Its name being derived from the first man (Adam), extending pass the flood event reaching to faithful Noah, who would still be alive for 350 years after the event. When Noah is laid to rest at the 2,000-year mark, calculated after sin takes our first parents (Adam and Eve), from their garden home, Noah’s death ends the first ten generations.
The second dispensation I would call, “the Jewish”; Abram who would later be known as Abraham and the father of the Jewish nation, would receive the Covenant Promise mantle from Noah, this is taking place 350 years after the flood event at the 2,000-year mark. This second dispensation would extend to the time of Christ, another additional 2,000 years of time.
The third dispensation I would call, “the Christian” a period of time which would begin in 34 AD, marked by the stoning of Deacon Stephen and the final rejection of Christ by the Jewish Sanhedrin. This date is also established through the prophecies of Daniel (chapter 9), marking the end of the Jewish dispensation and beginning of the Christian era, when the Gospel would eventually go to the entire known world. This last period of time could also be referred to as the Spiritual Jew Dispensation, as true believers (Christians), emphasized now the inner man of the spirit, and not the outward display.
“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” (Rom. 2:28-29)
So in summary the chart below frames the Scriptures in three equal 2,000 year periods:
l Adamic 2,000 yrs. l
l Jewish 2,000 yrs. _l_
l Christian 2,000 yrs. l
This would be another more practical breakdown of God’s word, from a time perspective, with each segment extending over a 2,000 year period.
When including the 1,000 year Millenium to the equation, you are now looking at a 6,000 year period of probationary time followed by a 1,000 year Shemita rest. This pictures a 6:1 ratio for world history outlined from God’s word. An understanding of this Biblical ratio would become very significant in calculating the duration of the plan of salvation.
The very existence of a blueprint demands time allocations for completed aspects of any job. Any construction project would have a starting date, many target segmented completion dates, and of course a target date for overall completion. Would God’s blueprint follow such a course? Would God put together a predetermined plan, and follow the detail of His own blueprint? Is He that Organized? Is He Powerful enough to maintain complete control of such a project despite all of humanities peculiar behavior and supernatural interfearance?
When Architect’s put their ideas to paper, all of the details mean certain amounts of time to be expended in accomplishing those tasks. Adding all these pieces together, plus figuring in regulatory, material, labor and possible weather delays provide an Architect with a reasonable target date for completion. I believe Scripture reveals a similar course with just one adjunct; our heavenly Father is in complete control of every circumstance. Delays in construction that we deal with routinely, with many totally out of our control, do not apply to God’s plan; He is Omnipotent, Omniscience, and Omnipresent. All would be fulfilled, just as pre-ordained and revealed in the Scriptures, there would be nothing that could stand in His way in accomplishing heaven’s objectives. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to God’s purpose”. (Rom. 8:28)
ist is and the role He has played in our Salvation. This will be an essential element in the character development of the 144,000 mentioned in chapter seven. We have an entire presentation of the mission of the 144,000 in the 7 Chapter Series, this can be downloaded as an e-book or purchased with the binder system. It is not a coincidence that this group doesn’t show up again until the end of the next 6:1 ratio found in chapter 14.
The sure purpose of the framing structure in Revelation which is indicated through the 6:1 ratio is directly tied to the very first example of this ratio; that of the weekly cycle established at creation. As the book of Revelation concerns the end-time drama that will unfold, the weekly cycle is also at the heart of this controversy. Very few in the world today realize that what God established in the very beginning, (His weekly cycle, a 6:1 ratio) would be instrumental also at the very end to test His people and the entire world. The reason this is utilized is because it is completely fair, (He used a tree to test the entire world in Eden with Adam & Eve), and today no one has any more time than any other. Make no mistake about it though; it is a test of loyalty, the very same as in the beginning.
John is revealing in the very framework of Revelation the importance of this cycle of time at the end of the world. Six days are ours to use for work and pleasure, the seventh belongs to God. His fingerprint is all over it, having established it and set it aside for holy use. It is this use of His special time (the seventh day), that will determine the fate of many.
Chapter 14 – Revelation’s Perspective Continues – the next 6:1 ratio
Chapters eight through fourteen are considered in this chapter and reflect the next 6:1 framing section. Chapters 8 and 9 reveal the first six trumpets sounding, with the 7th not mentioned until chapter 11:15.
This is a similar intentional literary technique that we see used by John concerning the seals. The seven seals (Rev.5-6) are divided by chapter 7 of Revelation, the first six are listed as sounding in chapter 6, the last one, number 7, is not presented until Rev. 8:1. This division seems intentional, as the last seal takes place either during or after the millennial period. This distinction places the 7 seals as well in the category of a 6:1 ratio.
A similar situation seems to be going on with the Trumpets, with all of chapter 10 and 2/3 of chapter 11, occurring before the last trumpet is sounded. Once again the sounding of the 7th trumpet initiates a response in heaven, “And the seventh trumpet sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying…” (Rev. 11:15)
The impact of the first 6 trumpets are felt on earth with the seventh evoking a response in heaven.
From the very introduction of the 7 angels receiving their trumpets (Rev. 8:2) we realize this occurs just before probationary time ends. This is pictured in the next three verses with the final casting down of the censer in verse 5. The censer was used in the Tabernacle, offering incense, which represented the prayers of the saints. This is an indication that intercession has ended and probationary time is about to close.
John then proceeds to reveal the details concerning these soundings or warning blasts of the trumpets. The first four warning blasts picture natural disasters or man-made calamities such as; volcanic eruptions of unprecedented magnitude, huge asteroid impacts, or even nuclear attach. (Rev. 8:7-12)
The last 3 trumpets are also called “woes”, which set them apart from the first 4, (Rev. 8:13). The most obvious difference seems to be how they are initiated, with the 1st four being presented and tied to natural or man-made disasters, while the last three to super-natural or demonic intervention.
This would be a working of darkness that God must allow to take place, as Satan would if he could, even now destroy as many as possible, the enemy is held in check until this time of the woes (chapters 9-13).
A Hebrew concept of “present and enlarge” is another principle of exegesis and is at play here in these chapters. This reveals in greater detail the working of the enemy of souls, exposing his plot to take the entire world captive before human probation ends. The dragon is enraged with those who have developed the character of Christ and is intent on their destruction, as he knows his time is running out. (Rev. 12:17)
The ultimate fulfillment of the 1st woe or the 5th trumpet, if correctly understood, can only be the personation of the devil and his efforts to bring the entire world, not only under his control, but into conflict and war. Notice the time frame is established in verse 4 of chapter 9, as his army cannot hurt those who have the seal of God in their foreheads. “They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads” (Rev. 9:4). This places the ultimate time of the 5th trumpet just before the close of human probation, not hundreds or thousands of years earlier as some suggest. Those who promote these views are highlighting perhaps legitimate applications, but not the ultimate fulfillment.
This chapter has other historical applications of past conflicts that culminate in the ultimate warfare against God’s people, with the devil himself as an angel of light. Just as Jesus had His 3 ½ years of personal ministry on earth, Satan will undoubtedly claim the same, it is the time when he believes he will possess the greatest advantage. He has rallied the world into a one-world system intent on the destruction of the righteous. They are motivated to take action against any they believe to be causing earths deterioration and destruction.
Revelation chapter 9 introduces this period of time, all other applications we could make, point us to this moment. This army has a king over them; John is making the fulfillment clear as crystal by recording it in the two popular languages of his day; in Hebrew, this king is Abaddon, in Greek, Apollyon, interpreted as “the destroyer”. The ultimate destroyer is Satan, not some person or kingdom from the 1st century, though we can make many appropriate applications of such. This is that hour of temptation that would come upon the whole world that John speaks of; “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth”. (Revelation 3:10)
As the second appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ draws near, satanic agencies are moved from beneath. Satan will not only appear as a human being, but he will personate Jesus Christ; and the world who has rejected the truth will receive him as the lord of lords and king of kings. The wrath of Satan increases as his time grows short and his work of deceit and destruction will reach its culmination in the time of trouble…a little time of trouble just before human probation closes and great time of trouble immediately after.
As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour’s advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. (Revelation 1:13-15)
The glory that surrounds him is unsurpassed by anything that mortal eyes have yet beheld. That same description of Christ in Revelation one comes to mind. The shout of triumph rings out upon the air: “Christ has come! Christ has come!” The people prostrate themselves in adoration before him, while he lifts up his hands and pronounces a blessing upon them, as Christ blessed His disciples when He was upon the earth. His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Saviour uttered; he heals the diseases of the people, and then, in his assumed character of Christ, he claims to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday (a claim that altars the original 6:1 ratio and God’s established blueprint), and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed. He declares that those who persist in keeping holy the seventh day (God’s original blueprint design) are blaspheming his name by refusing to listen to his angels sent to them with light and truth. This is the strong, almost overmastering delusion (since the 6:1 ratio design has been kept in tack). This is like keeping the total square foot dimensions of a building as planned, while at the same time changing the layout design affecting the total size.
“Like the Samaritans who were deceived by Simon Magus, the multitudes, from the least to the greatest, give heed to these sorceries, saying: This is “the great power of God.” Acts 8:10. But the people of God will not be misled. The teachings of this false Christ are not in accordance with the Scriptures,” (devotional – Maranatha 276).
The 2nd woe or 6th trumpet is sounded in the second half of chapter 9, a most ominous time is here presented, the four angels that hold the winds of strife, (from chapter 7:1), now are instructed to release them. All hell breaks loose on the planet, a 200-million-man army is amassed, the recorded result; 1/3 of the inhabitants of mankind are killed. This has never taken place before in recorded human history, though an historical application can be made to the Ottoman Empire.
Some see the hour, day, month, and year, as a cumulative prophetic period prompting a beginning and ending of a certain time period, however it could also be designating a specific focal point in time; that of a certain year, month, day, and even hour, when a certain event is to occur, an event of unprecedented magnitude.
From John’s perspective it seems to be the initiation of the killing of 1/3 of humanity, this today would represent billions of lives. Could this be the overwhelming event that takes the world by surprise recorded in Joel 1:15, “Alas for the day! For the day of the lord is at hand, It shall come as destruction from the Almighty.”
Not the Scriptures alone sound the alarm of impending doom, there have been numerous commentaries that have commented on these verses drawing attention to issues occurring near probations close.
“We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another, —fire, and flood, and earthquake, with war and bloodshed. We are not to be surprised at this time by events both great and decisive; for the angel of mercy cannot remain much longer to shelter the impenitent.”—Prophets and Kings, 278.
“The crisis is stealing gradually upon us. The sun shines in the heavens, passing over its usual round, and the heavens still declare the glory of God. Men are still eating and drinking, planting and building, marrying and giving in marriage. Merchants are still buying and selling. Men are jostling one against another, contending for the highest place. Pleasure lovers are still crowding to theaters, horse races, gambling halls. The highest excitement prevails, yet probation’s hour is fast closing, and every case is about to be eternally decided. Satan sees that his time is short. He has set all his agencies at work that men may be deceived, deluded, occupied, and entranced until the day of probation shall be ended, and the door of mercy forever shut.”— (The Southern Watchman, October 3, 1905)
“Transgression has almost reached its limit. Confusion fills the world, and a great terror is soon to come upon human beings. The end is very near. We who know the truth should be preparing for what is soon to break upon the world as an overwhelming surprise.”— (Testimonies for the Church 8:28).
In this time of prevailing iniquity, we may know that the last great crisis is at hand. When the defiance of God’s law is almost universal, when His people are oppressed and afflicted by their fellow men, the Lord will interpose.”— (Christ’s Object Lessons – 178)
“We are standing upon the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. Strange, eventful history is being recorded in the books of heaven. Everything in our world is in agitation. There are wars, and rumors of wars. The nations are angry, and the time of the dead has come, that they should be judged. Events are changing. to bring about the day of God which hasteth greatly. Only a moment of time, as it were, yet remains. But while already nation is rising against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, there is not now a general engagement. As yet the four winds are held until the servants of God shall be sealed in their foreheads. Then the powers of earth will marshal their forces for the last great battle.”— (Testimonies for the Church 6:14)
With the world pictured in chaos, with death and destruction paramount, the focus of Chapters 10-11 turn to God’s people who still must whether the storm and accomplish their mission, despite the adversary and circumstances. As an angel came to strengthen Christ in Gethsemane, so one is pictured in chapter 10 of revelation, “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven…” The message is clear, no matter what our senses are indicating, Christ is still in control, the angel is about to reveal the day of His coming, but this is not yet to be revealed, God’s people must continue their work of exalting the genuine Christ, revealing His character to a darkened and deceived world. There yet may be another to come to Christ and salvation, before the door of probation closes.
The 1st part of chapter 11 again makes reference to this 3 ½ year period of satanic presence; however, God now pulls out His ace, He plays His last card to convince maybe just one more for salvation; His final act of love to touch maybe one more heart. As the people of God have been going through a difficult time of trouble, witnessing in His behalf, empowered by the Spirit, Christ now reveals His own two witnesses. These are symbolized by the two olive trees, the two lampstands before His Father’s throne in heaven. The two inseparable contributions from His Sons hand and side are His Own Law and His Own blood. In these two are all the sum of the Old and New Testaments; the reality components of the Covenant (Contractual) Promise.
The effect of God’s word is pictured as dead in a world of darkness, yet it is revived and the world stands in fear of its power. This was the very condition during Noah’s day when the Ark was completed and the last pleas of mercy were yet being sounded. The vast multitude deceived by the status quo opinion, ignored and jeered at what they suspected was Noah’s folly, yet how quickly fear enveloped the unrepentant once it stated to rain.
The 3rd woe or 7th trumpet begins to sound in verse 15 of chapter 11. It is a declaration and a praise from the 24 elders, which are around the throne in heaven. They proclaim, not only is probation about to be closed, but that God has done all within His power to save whosoever will come unto Him. At this moment He has every right to close the door to Salvation, He has done all He could to save humanity.
The opening of the temple, exposing the Ark, is a designation that probationary time is over, “and there was lightening, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail”.
With all humanity now judged, sin having run its course and claimed its victims, probation’s door closes. Chapter 12 presents a summary of how humanity had come to this place; with the origin of sin, and the birth of Christ presented, the main players in this drama of the ages. Chapter 12 no doubt has application to various periods of time throughout history, when God’s people were under attack, and a place of refuge was necessary, such as America in the 16th century; however, the ultimate fulfillment must be at the end of the indignation, a time just before the closing of human probation. This chapter sets the stage for chapter 13, as more of the detail concerning the assault on God’s people “at the end” is highlighted. Once again the 3 ½ years comes into focus near the end of chapter 12, as God’s people are fleeing to the wilderness from the civil unrest and targeted attacks from the dragon, (Satan).
Chapter 13 identifies two beast powers, separated by time and distance; one comes from the sea the other later from the earth. This distinction is relevant and again has been witnessed from the pages of history, highlighted in what has been called “the dark ages”, a period of 1,260 years. (see the day/year premise – in appendix C)
The greatest of all terrorist organizations by far could be said to have been the papacy of Rome during the Dark Ages, with admittedly martyring nearly 100 million people from 538 AD to 1798 AD (1,260 years). However, history will be repeated and once again the devil will use not only the Roman church, but the new world order (together they become the one world system). For the corrupt woman (church), is pictured as riding the beast power. The church positions herself covertly to be able to use the power of the new world order. They will morph into what will become the one world order or system of world dominance; this is why John pictures the entire world wondering after the beast system (Rev. 13:3).
Both the papacy and the new world order have demonstrated their desire to be in total control of humanity, both possess similar philosophy in preserving the world for future generations. A reduction in human population is necessary they say in order to accomplish this. The globalists want to maintain 500 million, which means an elimination of nearly 7 billion people. With such a reduction in humanity the few would be much easier to control.
Nothing has changed in satanic ideology, but now we have come around again to our own Kadesh Bornean, on the verge of the Promised Land. (This 2nd time we enter in just like Israel of old.)
What is being displayed with the one-world system here is a simple coming back to Babylon (the tower of Babel), Satan understands human nature and it is in his best interest to control humanity from a single vantage point. This is why God in His foreknowledge separated mankind at the original building of the tower of Babel in southern Turkey over 4,000 years ago.
Satan cannot allow for one faithful witness of God to remain. All must be unified under his control if he were to have any chance of survival. It is because of the 6:1 ratio that he knows his time is running out. He pulls out all the stops mounting a global force to hunt down if necessary all those standing on the word of God and reflecting the character of Christ. Before probation closes many saints have already been martyred by this time.
Eventually, a death decree is initiated to eliminate the final remnant (Rev.13:15), a strategy that has been utilized and proved effective throughout history; an attempt to purge the light that exposes the darkness. The first 5 verses from chapter 14 again remind the reader of the winners in this cosmic conflict. It is important to note that character maturity is again highlighted with the 144,000 in this chapter.
What John has revealed is six chapters of trumpet sounding warnings, contrasted with the seventh, is the closing of human probation with certain individuals who receive the seal of God. The remaining part of chapter 14 documents that even through this time of difficulty, the sounding of the final warning has been accomplished by the faithful, and now the world will witness the full wrath of God unmixed with mercy and Christ’s soon return thereafter. Also, they will witness the full measure of His grace, as a small group stand unmoved through it all. The Scriptures confirm, here are those who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus, (Rev. 14:12).
Chapter 15 – Revelations Perspective Continues, The Last Seven Chapters – Another 6:1 Ratio
The first verse of chapter 15 infers that the preceding chapters concerning the trumpets is the partial wrath of God; as compared with now, after probation closes His full or completed wrath against sin. This is highlighted from both chapters 8 and 15, you may have noticed the parallel in these Chapters; both groups of angels are in the temple coming from the throne of God, one group has trumpets the other bowls or plagues. The determining constant factor is the close of human probation, with one group presenting the partial wrath of God on one side of the close and one group pouring out the full wrath of God on the opposite side.
Chapter 16 begins to present the details, again with the first four targeting the earth itself, and the sea, the water supply, and the sun, with the remaining 3 targeting Satan’s allies; the beast power, spiritual Babylon, and any apostates on the earth itself. Notice in the closing of both the trumpets and the plagues, you end with noises, thunderings,
ightenings, and a great earthquake. The declaration is made under the 7th plague that “it is done” something similar also occurs with the 7th trumpet, (Rev. 10:7) “but in the days of the sounding of the 7th angel the mystery of God would be finished.” This would mean the partial judgments of God running their coarse then coming to an end, and the full judgments of God running their coarse then coming to an end.
Again the 6:1 ratio is displayed with the plagues as with the trumpets, six plagues decimate the planet in various locations with the seventh, a pronouncement that “it is done”(Rev. 16:17). Satan’s agenda to secure fallen humanity for his own purposes has failed; these plagues have prepared the way for the presence of the Kings of the east (Rev. 16), and the 2nd coming of Christ.
Chapters 17 and 18 deal with some details of the judgments to fall on the Roman church, “the great harlot” and spiritual Babylon; “Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the earth” (Rev. 17:5).
How could any be saved from what is coming on the earth? The events described even flash back
prior to the close of probation and assure the reader that though the beast was a formable foe, the Holy Spirit is a greater power to be reckoned with.
Chapter 18 assures us, especially from verse 4 that everyone was provided an opportunity to avoid these terrible plagues that are now falling, just as faithful Noah made a last desperate plea to those before the great flood. “And I heard another voice from heaven saying Come out of her my people that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues”. This is an important reminder for folks that God has provided an opportunity to step away from deception and be spared the fate of Spiritual Babylon. “Therefore her plagues will come in one day death, mourning, and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord that judges her.” (Rev. 18:8)
Because humanity was locked into this supernatural warfare 6,000 years ago, it is the only perspective we possess. However, from the heavenly perspective this is but an unfortunate moment of existence, keeping God’s creation in an unnatural state of tension and sin. Since God had decided to get directly involved with the rescue plan, all
heaven has been stressed with the final outcome. As we come to chapter 19 John begins to describe heaven’s jubilance at the thought that their Lord and King is about ready to be reunited with His people, “Alleluia for the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His wife has made herself ready,” (Rev. 19:7).
The remainder of chapter 19 presents the coming of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, however John lead by the Spirit mingles events that take place both before the millennium period, (1000 years in heaven), with those occurring after. This is a typical form of Hebrew exegesis, mingling more than one event of similar circumstances together. This is why understanding the framing of the book is vital. Because of this general outline still referring mostly to the fate of spiritual Babylon, John next focuses on chapter 20, highlighting some of the responsibilities of the saints during this millennial period. There are certainly more specifics that we could go into in these chapters, but are unnecessary in this presentation, as we are considering mainly the context of the framing of the book.
In chapter 21 the focus changes to the earth made new, “for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away” (Rev. 21:1). This completes the final 6:1 ratio of the book of Revelation with chapter 22 proclaiming the content to be true, “These words are faithful and true” (Rev. 22:6). Included also is a warning against any who add too or take away from the content and meaning of this prophesy, (Rev. 22:18-19).
Chapter 16 – Revelations Perspective – After the 6:1 Ratio a New Heaven and Earth
The conclusion of Chapters 15-20 end with the saints in Heaven during the 1,000-year millennial period, God invites the saints to audit the books, the recordings of the angels, designated by God to provide an accurate accounting of each person’s life. This indeed is a most interesting development, for who would question God’s assessment concerning who should be saved and who would be among the lost.
It might appear obvious that this consideration is what brought heaven to the place of rebellion once before. Lucifer, the light bearer, one of the covering Cherub’s was not invited onto the throne itself, entering into perhaps confidential conversations and future plans with the Father. Christ being one with the Father was of course included in any consultations and further development of God’s creation, which especially included our Earth. We could never discover the depth of the “mystery of iniquity”, but certainly one
element of discontent by Lucifer was his exclusion from that inner circle.
Now back in heaven with the faithful God is not only allowing but requesting a review of His own decisions. This very action is a testimony of His amazing wisdom, love, and character. There may be individuals there that demonstrated on earth their disdain for God and His plan, even perhaps those who were despicable in their treatment of others. There may be some there that history testifies of their brutality to large groups of people, even nations. Perhaps there are even personal friends that you knew, relatives, children, co-workers, that displayed questionable behavior and moved in a direction contrary to God’s teachings, and yet grace has bought them all, at some point they made the barter; self-centeredness and wickedness, traded for Christ perfect righteousness.
Then there is the other side of the coin, those that we considered bright lights who do not appear to be there. All of this observation will create a question concerning God’s judgment, and He knows the importance of answering these concerns. He is playing the role He has always played, Merciful, Compassionate, loving and still offering us the
opportunity to reason with Him, answering our questions. He has established this opportunity in the blueprint, even before the circumstance arises.
This millennial period in case you hadn’t noticed is the 1 in a 6:1 ratio. We are informed that one day with God is as a thousand years (2 Pe. 3:8). This one, “God-day” or one-thousand years is the contrasted ratio of human probationary time, allotted for the sin problem to run its course, six-thousand years of human probation – than the one thousand years of audit during the millennium. After this cycle of time has run its course, the saints return to this earth with God and the New Jerusalem (Rev.21:2).
This probationary period has been illustrated in other ways as well, as if God did not want us to miss it. During what I would call the Adamic dispensation, the period of time allotted to the antediluvians, what could only be called a super-race of people, super-size, super intelligent, displaying incredible longevity (average age before the flood 912 years). Noah was of that generation and lived 350 years after the flood, with 1,650 ticking off the scroll of history before. The Adamic
dispensation covered the first 2 “God days”, or two-thousand years of world history.
During this dispensation of time the lives of His children came into review, God did not like what He saw, and confronted His children during a specified period of time (120 years), they must make a choice for or against Him. As you know this is the story recorded in Genesis 6-8 with Noah and the Ark. This period of time would be significant; God did not simply pull an arbitrary period of time from His hat. One-hundred and twenty years was allotted to Noah for the project, the building of the recue ship if needed and all the subsequent supplies for such an adventure.
This one-hundred and twenty years would become another 6:1 ratio. God would eventually establish with His children in the Jewish dispensation a period of time called a Jubilee cycle. This is a fifty-year cycle of time, the 50th year is the one following the culmination of seven Shemitah cycles (seven-year periods). The jubilee year was similar to the Shemitah year, one when the land was at rest, when assets were returned to their original owners etc. The seventh Shemitah year followed by the Jubilee year meant two consecutive years when the
land was to rest. The Jubilee was particularly an illustration of the millennial period (I,000 years) when the whole earth itself would be at rest.
One hundred twenty of these jubilee cycles would bring us to this millennial period. This one hundred and twenty years of extra probation provided to Noah and his generation was a representation of the entire probational period for humanity, (120 jubilees X 50-year cycle = 6,000 years) contrast this with the millennial period of one thousand years: 1,000 years divided by a jubilee cycle of 50 equals 20 cycles. 120 cycles divided by 20 cycles equals a 6:1 ratio of time. (the millennial period is the 1 in the 6:1 ratio).
There is also another representation using the 120 number that may be just coincidental. When you calculate the number of generations through each dispensation, you come to 120 generations that will have lived on the planet during its probation. Due to the great age of those that lived during the Adamic dispensation, only 10 generations occurred (Adam to Noah was ten generations). The patriarch Abram received the Covenant mantle from Noah, being nearly 60 when Noah died, 350 years after the flood. Abram was the beginning of the Jewish
dispensation, which began around 1967 B.C. and ended as many may know in 34 AD; this is the second 2,000-year period. In this dispensation of time we cover the generations from Abraham to Christ. This calculates to another 41 generations as described in Matthew chapter one, (Matt. 1:17).
This leaves 69 generations to bring us to the 120 and must be accomplished in the last dispensation. The Christian dispensation covers also 2,000 years and it is in this one that we must rely on the average age of each generation. This has been estimated at about 29 years of age which brings us really close to the exact number of 120 total. (just a thought).
After the millennial period the book of Revelation records (chapters 21-22) the descent of the Holy City coming down from heaven. God is relocating His throne to this earth, incorporated into the city Jesus promised to construct for the saints, (John 14:1-3). Whereas chapter 20 focuses on the fate of the people, both the redeemed and the lost, chapters 21-22 emphasize some of the physical characteristics of where the saints will spend eternity.
This is the final 6:1 framing aspect of the book of Revelation; the main focus of chapters 15-20 deal with the falling of the plagues, close of probation, and second coming, the millennial period in reality becomes the conclusion of the close of probation, it is only after God allows the auditing of the books that every case is fixed for eternity. Notice the final pronouncement that the sin problem is over is made in chapter 21:6, “It is done”, this occurs after the wicked receive their sentence and are destroyed, sin has been purged from God’s perfect creation. Six chapters dealing with the last results of sin; than God’s faithful, living in the city prepared for them for eternity.
The first part of what we call chapter 22 is an extension of chapter 21 and concludes with this statement, then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”, (Rev. 22:6). The remainder of this chapter takes us right back to the beginning of the book, a literary procedure of tying all of the content together for a specified period of time. Verse 10 uses a phrase found in chapter one, “for the time is at hand”, the key Greek words make it clear that the book was written for the time just before probation would close, the next verse (11),
is that very declaration, he that is unjust let him be unjust still…etc. If this was going to be in the mid or late eighteen hundred’s, then all revealed in the book of Revelation would have had to have been fulfilled, but because this did not occur, those fulfillments became applications pointing towards the ultimate fulfillment.
Chapter 17 – The Revelation Perspective – The 6:1 Ratio for All Eternity
The last chapter of Revelation is a fulfillment of the many promises of God to provide for His people through all eternity. Access to the tree of life you’ll notice, (Rev. 22:14) is presented; this is the vehicle God uses to provide the gift of eternal life. Many may have imagined just what that tree would look like, maybe even pictured themselves standing around that tree picking from its branches the life sustaining fruit.
The beginning of chapter 22 is an extension of 21 providing additional information concerning what to expect when we reach the other side. The tree of life is highlighted in the opening verses, pictured as spanning the river of life that proceeds from the very throne of God. Considering there will be a great multitude that will be accessing the tree at various times, its size must be considerable, unlike anything thing we have ever seen. When the Bible says, “in the middle of its street” (Rev 22:2 the Greek word Pla-ta-a) means the broad way. Not only is the tree coming up from the midst of the river of life, but is pictured on each side of it as well. It makes sense that such a tree would not only need an abundance of water and possess an incredible root system, connected perhaps directly to God’s throne, but also, boast some kind of amazing trunk.
Another interesting anomaly about this tree is that each month it bears fruit, but not the same fruit, twelve differing fruits come from this one tree. As we look around at nature today we see many trees of all varieties. One thing that seems to be present with all of them is that one trunk sprawls into many branches. This is what we would come to expect in nature and perhaps how we imagine the tree of life. However, on our fruit trees we typically always get only one type of fruit.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Rev. 22:2) The text seems to suggest that two trunks immerge from the riverbank, one for each side of what must be a rather wide river.
These two main trunks support the numerous branches needed to facilitate the multitudes that will enjoy its fruit.
The twelve different kinds of fruit is not only a possible literal depiction, but is most obvious a representation of the twelve tribes from the Old Testament and the twelve apostles from the new. These two are also depicted in the construction of the New Jerusalem city itself, the twelve foundations and the twelve gates. So, there is a real possibility of another 6:1 ratio being established here.
These two main trunks connected to the main root system, provide two main components enabling the 12 varieties of fruit (a 6:1 ratio) and benefits for the redeemed.
“Must we wait until we are translated before we eat of the leaves of the tree of life? He who receives into his heart the words of Christ know what it means to eat the leaves of the tree of life…. The knowledge that comes from God is the bread of life. It is the leaves of the tree of life which are for the healing of the nations. The current of spiritual life thrills the soul as the words of Christ are believed and practiced. Thus, it is that we are made one with Christ. The experience that was weak and feeble becomes strong. It is eternal life to us if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end.”
The tree itself becomes a symbol of redemption, being a 6:1 ratio for all eternity, as we will never suspend our growth in knowledge and spiritual development. We will study God’s wonderful plan and His character for all eternity.
Chapter 18 – What does the 6:1 ratio mean for you and me?
Over the last century many have fallen victim to feelings, impressions, or outright guessing to offer up a supposed time of the end. The list is long and perhaps distinguished with many from various cultures, educational backgrounds, or self-appointed positions. Their predictions are designed to excite, perhaps produce fear, generate money or wealth, or recognition and fame. This is not the intended purpose of this publication.
Some shy away from the idea that the Plan of Salvation would be that of a divine blueprint. The thought that God’s plan would consist of only some kind of a beginning, but we must never think about an end, is totally absurd. God is a God of structure and order, He is not arbitrary, this problem of sin would be brought to an end. The Sanctuary service illustrated this.
Many in the Christian community have read into Matt. 24:36 more than the verse is actually stating, fearful of the thought that humanity could get a heads-up, that probationary time is coming to an end. Are we to believe the contrary that God would on purpose, keep from us the timing of such a significant event. That sentiment is in part a result of the thousands of dates erroneously set with nothing taking place. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not the angels of heaven, but my Father only”. (Matt. 24:37)
The context of the verse is surrounded by the story of Noah, “but as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” What actually took place then is the real question for consideration today?
The flood itself would be the parallel to Christ’s 2nd coming, one event resulted in the world being destroyed by water, the other by fire. The door of Noah’s ship had already been closed before the flood occurred (7 days before). Once the rain started, an event that had never occurred before, those outside the boat would begin to get very alarmed, especially as the intensity of the storm increased.
The Genesis account states that not only did the windows of heaven open (rain from the sky), but that all the fountains of the great deep were opened up as well (Gen. 7:11). Most of the flood
water came from the underground aquifer system. The forty days and nights of rain was produced from the deterioration of the ice canopy, which had been part of the original creation (Gen. 1:6-7). This additional layer in the upper atmosphere accomplished many tacks, all of which maintained a terrarium effect allowing for the prolific growth of both nature in general, and humanity specifically. Pre-flood humanity were giants, perhaps 15-16 feet in height, these estimates are calculated from human archaeological remains.
“For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark”. (Matt. 24:38) and then the next verse states, “And knew not”, just what didn’t they know? Had God keep some critical bit of insight from them? Had God tricked them in some manner to leave them in the dark? No!
What those outside the Ark didn’t know, was that their probation had ended, which meant their choosing the option of life was no longer an option. When the door of the ship was closed, not by Noah or the crew, but by the angels of God, those outside the ship, by their own choice had sealed their fate. “And knew not until the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.”
This bit of insight clarifies a few distortions within Christianity today. There are many folks who have embraced an idea completely opposite of this Biblical account. Many have been taught it will be the righteous that are taken away and the wicked left to be given a third choice. However, the Scripture’s are clear in this example of what the coming of the Son of man will be. It is the wicked that are taken; the Greek word for taken is the word – paralambano – it means to take, to take away. But not in the positive sense, it was the wicked that were taken in condemnation by the waters of the flood.
On the other hand, those that were left, which is the Greek word (Aphiemi), which means the ones separated or forgiven; through departure, divorce, or even death. The righteous were separated from the wicked by the closing of the door of the Ark. The flood waters swept the wicked away, while the Ark, a symbol of Christ, secured the faithful to new
life. So, to be taken is not a good thing, you’ll want to be left, just like faithful Noah and his family.
Instead of not knowing when things are wrapping up, God rather would have us understand that things are coming to a close. He wants us on the boat! He wants us to be ready! This knowledge and discernment is only going to be available to those who are spiritually awake and alive.
“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor. 2:11-14)
It is the Spirit of God that declares in first Thessalonians chapter 5 that Christians should be aware of the things God has revealed. To the unconverted they seem foolish, but to the converted heart, Godly wisdom finds a lodging place.
“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation”. (1 Thess. 5:1-8)
Do the children of light have an advantage of knowing the things that God has revealed? Do they have a responsibility to share this insight with any who will hear? It seems absurd from these verses that God would want to keep us in the dark concerning such a time as the closing of human probation and the nearness of His coming.
The wise will understand says Daniel (Dan. 12:10) “And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding”. (Dan. 2:21)
The 6:1 ratio of Scripture provides the clues we need to help discern the light flowing from God’s word.
Chapter 19 – Does the blueprint reveal it is our time to Know?
It is quite normal for anyone to want to know when certain events will occur mentioned in God’s word. Jesus himself dealt with this same thinking when he was here. “When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6) This question is coming after Christ had yielded His life on Calvary and had been raised from the tomb. The Disciples are asking the question at this time because Jesus is about to leave and return to heaven. They are unaware of other aspects on the blueprint that would be necessary before this could take place, such as an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Very patiently Christ informs them that this question is not for them to know.
“And he said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:7-8).
We find a similar circumstance with Daniel from the Old Testament. Chapter 12 begins with the introduction of a time of trouble, with a resurrection to follow, “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” (Dan. 12:1-4)
These verses are filled with insight for the wise, which we will not take the time to dissect in this
publication. However, notice that God is clear, at an appointed time, as the blueprint specifies, greater insight will be revealed. Daniel was asking for that insight, but God said it’s not for you, but for those living at the end. The information would be sealed up until that time, this infers that it would be made known. This is just like a contractor working their way through the particulars of a blueprint. He is not going to be concerned with the roofing details when the foundation is still being worked on. One aspect follows another, then another, then another procedure, until the whole of the project is complete; God’s plan works the same way.
It would be just at the right time that greater insight of His word would come to light. It isn’t at all about any person bringing this light to the forefront, it is all about the timing itself. The blueprint calls for certain things to occur at just the proper moment, just like in a construction project.
It is quite normal for folks in any generation, in fact in every generation, to inquire of the Lord when He would return as he promised. Christ’s disciples asked Him the very same inquisitive questions shortly after leaving the Temple area one day. “Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples
came to Him privately, saying, tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age”? (Matt. 24:1-3) Should we not have an expectation, that the Lord would want His people to know. After-all it is their duty and responsibility to warn the world that such an event is near.
Now is the moment in time for us to consider this most obvious revelation, it’s always been there on the blueprint, but the numerical markers were ignored. We must come to grips with the Biblical fact that we are dealing with a restricted amount of probationary time left for this old would. For the Christian it will be to set your house in order and complete the mission Christ has established; the Gospel to the entire world. For the non-believer it is about making a choice. We have already been informed that tragically the vast multitude will ignore the warning and criticize the Redeemed, many will take the broad road. (Matt. 7:13-14)
Even though this is indeed unfortunate and tragic, since Christ made Salvation available to all, the remnant of God must fulfill their appointed work; we must follow and present every detail of the blueprint. Today is the day of salvation, we are not guaranteed tomorrow. Remember, probationary time can close for any individual one of two ways, through death, or when God declares it closed.
Chapter 20 – 2034 AD possibility
Over the last several years I have listened to many of the conservative radio broadcasters, and they all seem to have at least one perspective in mind. Despite all of the troubles the Dems have gotten us into and I should say the politicians in general. I hear an oft repeated rallying cry that we as a nation will recover; we will get past any nightmare circumstance that develops. We simply need to believe in ourselves and with hard work and determination rise to meet any challenge.
They contend that no matter the severity of the situation, we will survive; we will come back stronger, wiser, better than ever before. Now I can certainly appreciate the optimism, if fact as a Christian I should be the embodiment of optimism. “He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.” (Is. 25:8) Certainly the Gospel is a very optimistic message!
Notice these comments from Paul, “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 15:54, 55, 57)
John echo’s the same thought, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4)
John states basically that no matter the conditions in the world, the Christian should be a beacon of optimism. The believer puts their faith not in Governments, or the politicians, not even pastors or spouses, not in anything other than Jesus Christ and the Atonement. Christ is the sole reason to be optimistic. He has promised a new world, a better place, one in harmony with heaven and without the taint of sin.
In order for this to become a reality, the status quo must end. There must be an end before there is a
new beginning. Having nine children in our family I can truly testify that childbirth is a painful and traumatic experience; it is really close to the ultimate time of trouble. The period called transition, is a time that the woman is out of control, things are on auto-pilot, the child is coming ready or not. This is what 2034 is; ready or not the blueprint comes to an end. To some this might sound very pessimistic, due to the fact that this is more than a major change in lifestyle. This is an end to the life that we are currently living.
To the believer, this is God’s promise of something better, this is the blessed hope, the end to this nightmare of sin. Finally pain and suffering and death are over, this would certainly be the ultimate optimism.
Scripture records three dispensations of time, Adamic – Jewish – Christian, each one proceeding for 2,000 years. This is not a simple guess; God has dropped numerous hints along the way, many that we have already discussed. We have come to a place where so much history has past that we can calculate these times. This is the place in time that we would be able to figure things out.
The 6:1 ratio rings loud and clear all throughout the Scriptures, pointing to 2034 AD as the scheduled end to probationary time and the beginning of the millennial 1,000 years, when the land experiences its’ ultimate rest. But I already know folks will resist this notion because they want to live their lives and experience all that life can through at them. This is certainly understood and appreciated and I would feel the very same, (we should live our lives as if we have forever), but with the understanding that God’s word declares it will one day come to an end.
It is now that we can understand that God is working His plan from a divine blueprint. This ending was scheduled even before the world was created, we just happen to be the ones living in the last generations. But just because this is the case and we are here now as compared to 500 or 1,000 years ago; don’t let this become a disadvantage to you or your family.
I challenge you to dig into the Scriptures, study the concept out for yourselves; don’t let anyone else rob you of what God has for you. This is not a suggestion to get all crazy and hysterical, running around shouting that the sky is falling.
This is a serious matter; we should give careful and studious study and consideration to the subject. If nothing else, it will help us understand the reasons for all the craziness in our world today. If the Scriptures are actually saying something else, what have we lost if we have made the necessary preparations. However, if they are saying what I believe they are and we ignore the warning, our eternal wellbeing is in jeopardy.
In a construction scenario an Architect can submit to the builder what is called, “a change order”. This is a printout documenting that something is going to be changed in the over-all project. This could mean more or less materials, more or less labor, and more or less time to complete the project.
2034 AD is the original scheduled blueprint for the ending of the 6,000 years of probation. However, God’s word indicates a “change order is going to be implemented. This is why no one can determine the actual year, month, day, or hour of the close of probation. This doesn’t mean however that 2034 is off the table, but only that the actual close will occur before we reach this time.
For those thinking we have so many years left, let me remind you that God Himself will cut the time short, “For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth” (Rom. 9:28). Also, Matthew 24:22 “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the elect sake those days will be shortened”. God’s word declares that there will be a change order from the original blueprint, and the change will be to shorten the time, not extend it.
We are living at a most solemn time in history; we can sense that major changes are headed our way, changes that will have a very negative effect on our lives. Do we not realize this is due to satan’s destructive influence over humanity? The dragon was enraged with the remnant and went to make war with them, those that honor God by keeping His commandments. (Rev.12:17) Time is speeding to completion, the last moments of probation will be rapid ones, I pray we all will be ready.
Chapter 20 – 6:1 Blueprint Diagrams
“It is the voice of Christ that speaks through patriarchs and prophets from the days of Adam even to the closing scenes of time” (DA 799).
Not only is the weekly cycle a constant reminder of God’s 6:1 blueprint, which He established at creation, but the Shemitah (God’s 7-year cycle),
designed to be a blessing and develop trust, is a reminder as well.
The book of Daniel provides some basis for the 6:1 ratio concept. Chapters 8 and 9 introduce the reader to several time prophecies, one which is referred to as the 2,300 day/year prophecy. “Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”. (Dan. 8:13-14) It is not until the next chapter that God sends Gabriel back to Daniel to provide understanding of the vision.
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. (Dan. 9:22-27)
The beginning date for the vision can be calculated actually with the decree of Artaxerxes found in Ezra chapter 7. The particulars of the decree would include not only restoration of structures but local governing as well. This date can be ascertained with the decree initiated in 457 BC. Daniel 9:24 states that the first 490 years (described as 70 weeks of years) would be time allotted particularly for the Jewish nation and their response to the things the Messiah would accomplish. These accomplishments are also a 6:1 ratio. This becomes important for two reasons; not only can we calculate the end of the 2,300 years (1844 AD), but we can also establish the dispensation of the Jewish nation. It is prophesied as coming to an end in 34 AD, just 7 years after the ministry of the Messiah begins in the year 27 AD.
Tracing back 2,000 years we come to the time when Abram is receiving the Covenant mantle as a result of Noah’s death. This would be the year 1967 BC, 350 years after the great flood. The Exodus of Israel from Egypt would then be just a bit earlier then most have supposed around 1520 BC.
Calculating from the 6:1 ratio concept is a much simpler way to establish these significant dates. Many attempt to construct a timeline based on the quote “rags and tatters” of Egyptian chronology, which through history has been distorted and misapplied. Even 1st century historians were giving it their best shot trying to piece together rumors and legend, with bits and pieces of ancient commentary. They ended up getting fairly close despite the disadvantage of not utilizing Scripture to the fullest. The Bible is going to be the best source for calculations of probationary time. The Scriptures indicate we have nearly run the sand through the hourglass of time, as a world we have come to the end of our probation.
Contemporary thought would suggest that what we are experiencing is just evidence of another cycle. We look back in history and we can observe certain trends, ups and downs in economic cycles, we can track population movements and development. Businesses come and go, nations come and go, political parties and philosophy change over time; this is often called progressivism. However, even though all this observation is true, and cultures do develop, we must come to understand that God’s word declares eventually it all would come to an end, and not a very pretty end at that.
Scripture paints the picture that humanity is caught, certainly by our own choice, in the middle of a super-natural warfare. God pre-determined that this would last only a specified amount of what we call time. The 6:1 ratio blueprint, established from the very beginning, illustrates in reality 7,000 years of time for sin to run its course. History reveals we are at that place where it could be cut short at any time. Now is the time to prepare for major disasters, both natural and demonic. Now is the time to trust in God, who is in complete control, this is our only hope.
The most significant preparation though is Spiritual, though many folks will lose all earthly possessions, it is the spiritual that is more important. There is nothing in this world worth hanging onto especially if it cost us eternal life. Give the Lord the chance He wants to transform your life and prepare you for heaven. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Pe. 3:9), God bless!
Chapter 21 – The Elephant in the Room
It is a fact that we have come to a point in time when it seems like no one is willing to tell it like it is. Our political system is a joke, the media has their bios, and even most churches avoid telling the real truth. There is an apprehension that hangs over our society like the preferable sword of Damocles. It seems that no one wants to admit that our planet does have an expiration date; either folks aren’t aware of it, or they don’t want to believe it.
I admit it is difficult to wrap ones thoughts around such an idea. It has been predicted in Scripture for thousands of years, that God would allow sin to run its course, within His pre-determined blueprint. It ends with the destruction of our planet, but who’s studying their Bibles these days, it is such an antiquated book? But it is a book that reveals God’s blueprint and scheduled events as planned, and very likely to occur before 2034 AD.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night (unexpected); in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent
heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness”, (2 Pe. 3:10-11).
It is the Elephant in the room that no one wants to recognize, many are simply distracted, others are looking away on purpose, “willingly ignorant” (2 Pe. 3:5). “Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD” (Jer. 8:7).
God has called certain individuals, and many know just who they are, that have been appointed to stand up and give the trumpet a certain sound, but there is apprehension. That blast of the trumpet is the sound of warning, “Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh”. (James 5:8)
No one wants to stand up and declare the Elephant is in the room; that we are near the very end. All the Scriptural signs prevail, no matter the rhetoric we hear from those demanding an optimism that
preserves society in some form or another forever. I hear the radio commentators daily, things are really bad they say, but we will prevail, we will recover, we will once again have our day in the sun. God’s word declares, “Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shin And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogances of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible”. God is ready to end this thing we call time. “Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger”. (Isa. 13:9-11, 13)
Part of this anger is directed against those who know the truth but are not willing to stand for it. This is not just a few misguided individuals but an entire movement, Jesus says, “I know your
works, that ye are neither cold or hot. I could wish that ye were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold or hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth. (Rev. 3:14-16)
Of course, society will criticize, make fun, and isolate any who dare to point out the Elephant. The enemy of souls will see to it, to make certain any who dare to sound the warning, that they suffer persecution and distain. God’s people have not been called to blend in, but to stand out, not to stand down, but to stand tall; it’s going to take a Holy boldness, which the Spirit will provide.
Faithful Noah was ridiculed, considered an alarmist, a crazy man, delusional (get ready – the same declarations will possibly come your way if you’re faithful). I’m sure even his family had some doubts. None of this dissuaded him though from the message God had given, though he may have been standing alone, He warned the World of coming destruction, and God provided him with the exact year this would take place. The experts of the day, “the mighty men of renown” the philosophers, the PhD’s, those with all the alphabet soup after their names, made their case; nature is fixed, even God could not cause the earth’s destruction. How arrogant, how foolish, how deadly for the vast majority to heed such boasting, they all had been led systematically down the primrose path, the path to destruction, how sad.
Its decision time, the Elephant is not only in the room, but it is trumpeting loudly, it is stomping violently, can’t you feel the vibration of warning? Everything in our world is in agitation and shaking! It is so obvious only a drunkard would think to ignore it. Let us not be drunk with the cares of this world, or distracted from the globalist mindset, but let us be sober, vigilant, and ready to meet our God, it could occur at any time now, anytime before 2034 AD. God’s blueprint is sure, but He alone will cut the time short, it will not be altered; take a moment, think things through, let God speak to your heart, eternity is at stake!
